Meet Fitgig Hiring Assist: Find Your Next Fitness Instructor

Human-led instructor sourcing for European studios. Agree your brief, pay €199 per role, and receive three interested instructors by your deadline—or a full refund.

A good instructor. The right fit. Two different searches.

You need someone to teach the Wednesday morning class. They need the right training, a teaching style that suits your members, the ability to get to your studio, and availability that actually matches the timetable. The pay and working arrangement need to work for both sides, too.

Posting a vacancy is a useful first step. But someone still needs to contact people, explain the role, check interest and work through those practical details. For a studio owner who also teaches, manages the timetable and looks after members, that is another piece of work to fit into the week.

That is why we are introducing Fitgig Hiring Assist: an optional, human-led sourcing service for studios that want help finding their next instructor. We agree what you need, carry out the search and introduce three interested instructors matching your approved brief. You decide whom to interview and whether to hire.

What Hiring Assist adds to Fitgig

You can already use Fitgig to post a role, receive applications and message instructors for free. None of that changes. If you enjoy managing your own search and have the time to do it, those tools remain available.

Hiring Assist adds hands-on sourcing work. We help make the brief specific, contact suitable instructors, check their interest and availability against the agreed requirements, and share introductions with you. The goal is a useful shortlist: people who understand the opportunity, rather than a long list of profiles for you to investigate from scratch.

This is a pilot service, delivered personally by Fitgig. It is not an autonomous AI recruiter. Your account manages the request, proposal approval, payment and status updates; introductions are shared personally during the pilot.

From your brief to three introductions

We start with a conversation about the actual role, not a payment screen. Submitting a brief is free and does not create a charge. Before proposing a search, we review whether we can realistically help with your location, discipline, schedule and budget.

  • Tell us about the role: your studio, location, discipline, teaching times, pay budget and essential requirements.
  • Review the proposal: we agree the candidate criteria and a delivery date with you before you commit.
  • Approve and pay: accept the written scope in your account, then make one upfront payment through Stripe before sourcing begins.
  • Let us handle the search: Fitgig contacts suitable instructors and checks interest against the agreed brief.
  • Meet your shortlist: we introduce three interested instructors matching that brief. You arrange interviews, choose whom to hire, and agree the working relationship directly.

What a useful brief looks like

“We need a Pilates instructor” leaves a lot unanswered. Is the role mat or Reformer? Are classes taught in English or the local language? Is this a recurring commitment or occasional cover? What will the instructor be paid, and how much preparation is expected?

For example, a fictional Amsterdam studio might need an English-speaking Reformer instructor for Monday and Wednesday mornings, with a relevant qualification and experience teaching mixed-ability groups. That is a clearer starting point than a job title alone. It is an illustration of a brief, not a claim that candidates are currently available in Amsterdam.

Being specific helps both sides. Studios spend less time discussing arrangements that cannot work, and instructors can decide whether the opportunity fits their skills and timetable. A realistic pay budget matters just as much as a clear list of requirements.

One role. One upfront fee. Clear payment options.

The pilot fee is €199 per role, plus applicable VAT, paid after you approve the scope and delivery date and before sourcing starts. There is no subscription, no salary commission and no instructor fee. The service fee is separate from the pay you agree with the instructor.

Checkout currently adds no VAT under our non-VAT-registered setup. Your final total is shown before you pay. Payments are in EUR; your bank may apply currency-conversion fees if your account uses another currency.

We have also updated checkout with Fitgig branding and support for cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and MobilePay. Available methods depend on your device, wallet setup and location; MobilePay serves customers in Denmark and Finland. You will see the options available to you at checkout.

Payments are processed through Caroloom’s Stripe account, so receipts or other payment details may refer to Caroloom. The service you are purchasing is Fitgig Hiring Assist.

An agreed shortlist—or a full refund

The commitment is specific: three interested instructors matching the approved brief by the agreed delivery date. If we do not deliver that shortlist by the deadline, we will initiate a full refund to your original payment method, including any tax collected. Bank processing times vary.

You can cancel without charge before payment. After payment, you can receive a full refund if you cancel before sourcing starts. Once sourcing has begun, a change in hiring plans does not automatically qualify for a refund, but the delivery-or-refund commitment still applies.

A shortlist is not a guaranteed hire. Once the agreed shortlist has been delivered, the service fee is earned even if you decide not to interview or hire. If an introduction does not meet the agreed criteria, contact us so we can correct it within the deadline or refund the assignment. The full pilot terms explain the details, including the 23:59 UTC delivery deadline on the agreed date.

European reach, with a local reality check

We welcome enquiries from studios across Europe. But an instructor search is still local: a strong profile in another country may not solve your need for someone who can arrive at 06:45 twice a week.

Availability depends on the city, discipline, teaching language, timetable and pay. We confirm feasibility before asking you to pay, rather than promising that every role can be filled everywhere. Hiring Assist is not an emergency-cover service, and there is no universal turnaround time. The delivery date is agreed for your assignment.

If your requirements are flexible, tell us which ones. There may be room to discuss a different teaching slot or a broader brief before you approve the search. We do not silently change the accepted criteria or extend the deadline after the fact.

You still make the hiring decision

Fitgig helps start the right conversations. The studio remains responsible for interviewing candidates, checking qualifications, insurance and right to work as appropriate, and agreeing the contract and instructor pay directly.

We explain what we have checked and what is instructor-reported. Hiring Assist does not come with a blanket background-check or qualification-verification guarantee. Your judgement about teaching quality, member experience and team fit remains essential.

Your request is private to your studio account and authorised Fitgig staff. We agree which role details may be shared with potential candidates before sourcing. Keep the brief focused on the work; there is no need to submit identity documents or sensitive personal information.

What this means for instructors

Hiring Assist is paid for by the studio. There is no instructor fee for the service, and instructors remain free to decide which opportunities to consider. Being introduced is not an obligation to accept a role.

If you want studios to understand where you might fit, keep your Fitgig profile useful and current: the disciplines you teach, your location, languages, relevant training, experience and availability. Be clear about the kinds of work you want and the practical limits on your schedule.

A complete profile does not guarantee an introduction or a job. It does make the information a studio needs easier to find—and gives a potential conversation a better starting point.

Tell us who your studio needs

Hiring Assist is for the studio that knows another instructor would make a difference, but could use help doing the search. Start with the role, the timetable and the budget. We will review the brief and tell you whether we can help before there is any payment.

You do not need a perfect job advert to get started. You need a clear idea of the classes you want to run and the person who could help you run them well.
